Today I want to talk to you about a very sensitive topic, but I want to approach it in my own way. When discussing the so-called Protocols of the Elders of Zion, the question that always arises is the same: are they true or false? But before answering, we must ask ourselves what this question really means, because “true or false” can mean many different things. If we speak, for example, of the Book of the Wars of Yahweh, mentioned in the Bible, we might ask whether it is a true or false book because we do not possess it, so we do not know if it exists or not. In the case of the Protocols, however, the text does exist. There are editions, such as the one I personally read, from 1937, which in turn is a reprint of an earlier publication. Let’s say that the Protocols were officially released at the beginning of the 20th century, published by Professor Sergei Nilus, and have a very complex history. There are countries, such as Arab nations, that claim they are absolutely genuine, meaning by this that they were written by Jews. There are also groups in the West that claim the same thing. Others, however, assert that they are false—that is, fabricated by anti-Semitic circles to discredit Jews—and that they are partly plagiarized from earlier works, such as Maurice Joly’s Dialogues in Hell between Machiavelli and Montesquieu. This is the debate that always takes place. Did the Jews write them or did they not? I’ll tell you right away that this is not the issue that interests me. That is not the point. The point is something else. I am interested in examining the content. I am interested in understanding whether what is described in this text has come to pass over time, whether it is coming to pass, and whether it is therefore possible to hypothesize the existence of a caste, of a group operating with a specific purpose. The Protocols describe a conspiracy carried out by a caste that considers itself superior to humanity and believes it has the right to rule it. This theme connects to the one we also discussed with David Icke, namely the idea that humanity is governed by a superior caste operating behind the scenes, with the aim of dominating it. According to this view, this caste would be so confident in its power as to openly declare its objectives. And here an important element comes into play: the date. The final draft of the Protocols dates from 1905. From that moment onward, for whoever wrote them, the future begins. But for us, much of that future is already in the past. And so the question becomes: has what was written already been partially realized? For this reason, I made a specific choice. I decided to read passages that make no reference to the Jewish people, but that speak of the content, the goals, and the tactics. Because what matters is verifying whether such a structure truly exists, whatever it may be. There is talk of a secret international organization, led by leaders aware of their own goals, which carries out invisible actions. Action that would have led to the perversion of civilization and society. With spiritual values destroyed, peoples are driven toward a universal struggle, believing they are pursuing their own interests without realizing the common enemy. There is also talk of the ability to utilize others’ ideas, to champion diverse viewpoints—from aristocratic to socialist—provided they all converge toward the same end. And furthermore, of the need to degrade the masses with distractions, to stoke their irrational side, stripping them of their capacity for discernment. This would be the first phase: the creation of a vast proletariat, the reduction of peoples to a mass without tradition and without inner strength. Then the power of gold intervenes. Control of the economy becomes the primary instrument. It is asserted that the power of capital surpasses that of rulers and that capital must obtain a monopoly over industry and commerce. This goal would be achieved by an invisible hand operating in all parts of the world. And one point is emphasized: it is more useful to make use of passions than to extinguish them. It is more useful to encourage the ideas of others and use them for one’s own purposes rather than to oppose them directly. One of the main problems identified is how to weaken the public mind, how to make it lose its ability to reason, how to distract it with meaningless phrases. It is said that nations, like individuals, take words for facts and rarely verify them. For this reason, there is talk of creating institutions that, through eloquent speeches, extol progress, while in reality they contribute to the overall plan. And there is talk of the need to multiply errors, vices, and laws until such chaos is created that it prevents people from understanding one another. This chaos would serve to sow division, dissolve collective forces, and discourage all individual initiative—to the point of leading people to ask to be governed. Once this condition is achieved, there is talk of the possibility of absorbing all powers and forming a universal supergovernment—a global administration capable of securing the complete submission of nations. In the meantime, action is taken on political systems. It is claimed that constitutional forms produce dissent and weaken the government. There is talk of creating presidents who are, in fact, controllable tools, individuals susceptible to blackmail, influenced by scandals or secrets. These apparent leaders would become the visible figures in charge, while real power would remain hidden. generates a reaction, a reaction that demands a solution, and offering a pre-planned solution. In this way, what is imposed from above appears to be demanded from below. Freedom is defined as the right to do what the law permits, leaving it to those in power to determine what is permitted. Great importance is attributed to the press, defined as a tool for stirring up passions and divisions. There is talk of the need to control it, to create multiple levels of information, including a false opposition. Newspapers should support different positions, but all serving the same purpose. In this way, those who believe they are following a certain opinion—even one formally opposed to power—are in reality following the one suggested to them by power itself. It is asserted that no information should reach the public without being controlled and that literature and journalism are the primary educational forces. To divert the population from political issues, there is talk of the need to offer distractions: sports, entertainment, competitions… Anything that can occupy attention and prevent reflection. There is also discussion of the management of institutions and education, reserving key roles for people trained according to specific objectives. Another central element is financial control. A distinction is made between internal and external loans, and it is asserted that, through international loans, the wealth of nations flows into the hands of those who control the system. It is said that governments, through ignorance or corruption, have made their countries irreversibly indebted. And it is asserted that the greatest power—gold—is concentrated in the hands of this structure. All of this is presented as a framework of past, present, and future events. A program that unfolds over time, through figures who act as executors, as frontmen. The point, therefore, is not to establish who wrote this text. The point is another: is it possible that there exists a caste operating behind the scenes, influencing the development of humankind? That is the question. It is not a matter of providing a definitive answer, but of proposing a working hypothesis. A possibility to reflect upon. After that, everyone will draw their own conclusions.
