The legacy of the Nuragic civilization<\/h3>\n

Sardinia is scattered with evidence of its ancient civilization: <\/span>nuraghi, tombs of the giants, sacred wells and megaron temples<\/b>. These imposing structures tell the story of a complex culture that has its roots in the <\/span>Neolithic<\/b> period and developed with the <\/span>working of bronze<\/b>, until the arrival of the <\/span>Carthaginians<\/b> and the <\/span>Romans<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to historical sources, the Nuragic society was <\/span>aristocratic and hierarchical<\/b>, composed of <\/span>cantons<\/b> governed by <\/span>sovereigns <\/b>who perhaps referred to a<\/span> heroic origin<\/b>, as seems to be confirmed by the conspicuous Greek sources that speak of archaic Sardinia.<\/span><\/p>\n
